Infrared system for heating of plastic sheets in a continuous process

For a manufacturer of plastic packaging for the food industry, the company IBT has developed an infrared system for heating of plastic sheets in a continuous process. A heating of the plastic sheets for subsequent inserting of two plastic sheets in a composite material is made. Here dark heaters of the STIR®-line, especially adapted to the process, were used for energy efficient and rapid heating of the plastic sheets.

The measurement of the surface temperatures of the components takes place contactless by means of specially adjusted pyrometer. A reduction of the energy losses and thus high energy efficiency will be reached by the use of reflectors.
